I’m Suzy – a happy-go-lucky, cup half full, always smiling, yoga practicing, rock climbing, nature loving, travel blogger.
I work full-time in San Francisco, California as a Manager for a Vocational Consulting firm, and I find every free moment to travel.
Truth be told, I had never left the country until the ripe age of 21. The only places I had ever visited by the year 2011 were Los Angeles and Hawaii. As an Armenian-America, it’s safe to say I grew up pretty sheltered. When my boyfriend (now husband) decided we should take a Euro trip after college graduation, I was extremely nervous… So was my father.
Nevertheless, I took the leap, and got on that airplane with a big heart and eyes wide open. The moment I landed in Barcelona, I was completely immersed in a different language and culture, and realized so suddenly how travel can change the way you see the World. It shook my soul awake.
Over the next month, Aleks and I continued to travel through Spain, Italy, England, Scotland, Netherlands, and Greece. I was in love with everyone and everything. How had I never left the country before this?! Every new city I visited opened my eyes to what a massive place the World can be if you let it. It was then that I caught the travel bug… and I never looked back.
I earned by Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from San Francisco State University in 2011, and continued working full-time. At the age of 25, I co-founded a software company. Yet, for the last 6 years, I have been in an endless pursuit for adventure! It’s very hard with a full-time job, but I have managed to visit over a dozen countries, taken a safari through the Serengeti, glacier climbed in Iceland, trekked the Inca Trail, partook in a yoga retreat in Costa Rica, and skydived over Napa Valley… just to name a few.
I guess you could say I like to have my cake & eat it, too.
Yours truly,
